Agni Prayer

I was always yours.
The cypresses cast long shadows.
The hills become red.

I have been your husband
in the numberless smiles of the sea,
the patron saint of patience,
my every desire satisfied.

The cypresses cast long shadows.
The hills become red.
What God has joined,
let no one part.
